
The book opens with More at present sending his documents to Peter Giles to edit his documentation on the world of Utopia for the publications. Hythloday narrated the stories of his journey to the New World and recounted many stories of Utopian world to More. The major story in the book is the society depicted by More but the book opens with the another story of Raphael Hythloday whom More met through Peter Giles. However, the book also contains stories within a story. More also devouted to Aristotle principles of justice, aesthetics, peace and harmony building in his book which reflects the spirit of humanism and classical learning in his book. He was influenced by Plato’s The Republic but unlike Plato More uses scholars in his book to represent the life in the ideal world. Many humanists went back to learn classical writers and philosophers like Aristotle and Plato and More is no exceptional. The book contains the spirit of humanism which was overflowing during those times. He criticizes England’s strict laws and depicted the corrupted society in contrast by building a world which is opposite to the society of Europe. He opposed the King Henry VIII breaking away from Roman Catholic Church. In his book Utopia, More satirizes the socio-political and religious hypocrisy of Europe during the time.

More was a humanist where he embraces classical thoughts of Aristotle and Plato. Thomas More’s Utopia was written in Latin but later translated to English in 1551. Their contribution to the literary pieces and art of work will be discussed and give a critical comments on their works.
